Burlesque in Billy-Burg
Posted on | October 28, 2008 |
So Gabe texted me at work yesterday, asking if I was up for some grub and burlesque. Um, yes.

NOTE: The above are real people dancing for real, not burlesque dancers.
Every Monday night, the Public Assembly (formerly the Galapagos Art Space) hosts Burlesque night, starting at 10pm. We all met up at Tacu Tacu, had lots of drinks, some lens-swapping and exploration of custom menu functions and massive deliciousness. And some of us were dehydrated and giddy. Others were bubbly and uproarious. Stage nicely set.
Warning: NSFW after the jump. There is some nudity, folks.
So, on with the b00bies. After all, it must be what you are here for, right? You clicked after all. The dancers were all happy and fun and the emcee/producer Gigi La Femme was a total riot, including calling one of us up on stage to help open the show. Oh, and if you bring a camera, just see the ringmaster and sign a polite little document saying you’ll be happy to share photos if they request it. Hella fun, the night was.

You got some great shots! I’ve been shooting burlesque for 5+ years now and the new Nikon sensors make it so clean!! Of course with your eye and trigger finger leading the way! Good times and great shots…it’s like I’m there again!
