Movie: Smart People

SMART PEOPLE
I just watched this heart-warming film about a misanthrope widower (Dennis Quaid) whose adopted brother comes to drive him around after having a seizure (which he has after falling off a fence breaking into the car impound lot where his car is impounded).
I laughed. A lot. It’s got substance, guts and moves the story along at a great pace. Most of all, I forgot about everything while it was on. Sign of a good flick, IMO. I also seem to recall something about it being from the same guys who made Sideways, which was a little more grim, but still a good mind meal.
(I never thought I’d be adding movie reviews to this blog, but there you have it - I enjoyed it.)
