Squalor your dreams, feed the machine

I’m done with half-assed measures. Not like I engage in doing things like that, but it’s apparent that doing it right is the only way to do it all.
And that reminds me of my grandfather Jack. He always said, “Anything worth doing is worth doing right.” and he lived that to the letter. His last job was being a framer. Easily described as a “master,” he always made art look its best.
I watched him measure twice and cut once. Always. And to this day I do the same.
Now I find myself applying this to choices in life, too. Consider the pssibilities. Dream it out again. Then act. Any more measuring than that is a waste of time.
Our time is metered from the start. Use it wisely, but decisively. And be sure to do it the best you each and every time.
