Character development…

Posted on | December 1, 2008 |

It’s funny. Well, at least it’s funny to me. I am working on a personal project right now that is awesome in its scope, breathtaking in possibility and so very much excites me. Problem is, I have everything but my characters. OK, starting at the beginning.

This will give you a small taste of what is to come.

I have a grand story arc, beautiful techniques, a wild graphic and aesthetic approach to this series of movies I am making, but my characters still remain fuzzy to me. They are peeking around the corner, giggling. “C’mon, Matt - catch us!” and then when I dash to the corner, they have fled, leaving only footprints that disappear like my dreams in the morning…

I am not frustrated… I am simply enjoying the chase. Nonetheless, I want to catch one or more of them soon, so I can begin this big, juicy project in earnest. Until then, I’m still working on other stuff.
